But will the duration he was with company B while the petiton was pending with USCIS be considered as out-of-status if he returns to company A now? Also his H1b for company A expired while he was away at company B. Will his petition now be considered a transfer back to company A or will it be considered as a new H1 as it had expired few months back?

I have recently applied for my H1 extension and have recieved the reciept. My current H1 is about to expire.

If the media holds Obama to the same standard as they do the republicans, you will see the democrats crumbling faster than a cookie.
There is so much hypocrisy in the media. If women vote for Sarah Palin it is wrong because you voting her just because of his gender. But oh, if you are black and dont vote Obama, then you are the most odious person living in this world. How will you explain your kids that you did not support a black person for presidency? This kind of duplicity is keeping Obama look good in the eyes of people. Throw off your goggles and you will see the same issues with Obama that you see with Sarah.
Also, so many low intensity criminals are asked to do community service, that does not qualify them to become the president of US. And what happened to his moral fiber when he changed his opposition to the telco immunity bill and voted so that he does not look bad on security issues? Did he use that fiber to get rid of his constipation issues??

I appreciate this update logiclife. This is all I (and I am sure many others) wanted, an update.
If you see any bad word in my post, you can delete it and you have power to delete it.
I felt thay many members asked for update (and I know there is no crtitical update) once in a while from IV core team.
Any post from a IV core member makes this forum alive again and boost member's moral, as It shows that IV is still working.
I posted a -ve post as I knew that you will post something in response to it, and hence proved.
But using words like "barking dogs", God, I was not expecting that.
Ghost, something must be missing in your character but I don't blame you, its bad parenting.

Guys, we are a small group of people - 5000 members, only 1000 contributing - a small piece of the battle currently being waged over undocumented workers and border security. What can we, the IV core team, tell you? Every update is pretty much the same - we are trying to talk to Congressmen and put some provisions in the SKILL bill or other bill. What do they tell us? Keep educating Congressmen about your provisions, the same as you did for the Senate, and wait for the opportune moment or legislation.

I flew Air France once in 2003. My connecting flight from Paris to Delhi got delayed by 12 hours. When I approached the Air France staff, they told me that since I had an Indian passport, I would have to wait out the entire time in the transit area. Meanwhile, they proceeded to make arrangements for other non-Indian passengers. They even refused to acknowledge my attempts to reason with them, either not replying to me, or replying only in French. I filed a formal complaint afterwards, but never got a reply.
I have travelled on numerous times since then, but never with Air France. I don't even consider them as an option anymore.

I understand your frustration, but as a leader you cannot set a bad example... No leader has ever got people to do the right things by calling them names.. while your intent is right, you have done more harm than good by starting this flame war..
I guess the right thing to do for the texas chapter is to call the members and find out what happened. We have chapter members phone number right?
I myself was slated to attend the MO chapter meeting, but could not do so and I called the co-ordinator to let her know..

If you RSVP that "I will come" and the host prepares entire day for meeting, makes her daughter skip the extra carricular activities, ends up using better part of weekend for an event she is thinking will be attended by you, but you dont show up even and dont even bother to call they you are cancelling, then you ought to be ashamed of yourself. If you do something like that in your workplace, then you will get fired. If you signup for a volunteer training/conference on behalf of your company, get company to book your travel, make them spend time/money and then on day of travel, you dont even show up at the airport and attend conference/training that you volunteered to attend, then you will get fired. You wont get fired from Immigration Voice and there are no personal consequence to your bad, lousy manners therefore its afforable to do so, and so you can do it.
If you think EAD is the end of the road and you are free now with AC21 options BUT on the contrary you feel more and more need to visit forums here, on Khanna portal, on Murthy's forums/chats then probably you are wrong, you are not free. You are still bound by strings that restrain your mobility and freedom.
LURKERS : And finally, if the only reason (and this is the most common reason) for not volunteering or participating in activities or contributions is that you are afraid of USCIS or some agency retaliating against your pending 485, and the problem is cowardice. Pressure from airlines to keep schedule and minimize fuel expense in the form of performance review/rewards/bonuses. Strong captains can resists but the pressure is constant. Not much unlike Health care companies that reward primary physicians that give minimal referrals to specialists. Such doctors are rewarded with free lavish vacation.
And then complain about lawsuits waiting on their door after their return from vacation.

I started with a 20$ recurring contribution and now I contribute 100$. I am not going to wait for the Google Ads to show up on IV and I think every penny I contribute for IV is money well spent for a cause I believe in. At the end of the day I am helping myself and I am also with a group of 23,000. I belive together we can achieve our goals. Please come forward to contribute

I guess 10% people with $1000 monthly credit card bill is not too optimistic.. is it?

Immigration Voice did 138 lawmakers meetings (in House and Senate). They did the rally. They would consider IV as a organization that can help them PUSH for their legislation. Now we have a place at the negotiating table.
