I have added my wife to green card application. Can you please let me know when she can expect receipt notice and Fingerprint Notice and when she can expect her GC. TSC is processing my/her application. My Priority Date is in Aug 1st 2006.
I am one of the ones who had missed the July 07 boat. My PD is finally current.
My attorney is getting ready to file all the items (485, EAD, AP etc) tomorrow.
How soon can I expect the FP Notice?
Also, since I am applying only now, how long before I can hope to see Green?

I have question , How long it will take after submitting the evidence . I have received RFE on Jan 15 and submitted 03/25/2008 and I have seen LUD 03/27/2008 .
How long they will take time to decide the case?

What does it take to port from EB3 to EB2 (aside from job requirements, duties and all that), specifically:

My H1 stamping has expired. I have traveled using AP before. Just wanted to know if anyone traveled back with AP via Brussels?
Email I received from Belgium consulate just says "Indian nationals do not need transit visa". I am sure it means they do not bother about H1/AP as long as you have legal entry for the destination. Just wanted to re-check.

A friend of mine (Indian) is married to an Indonesian. Both are on H1B and have approved I-140s. Can my friend apply for a cross changeability? Does it have to happen when my friends spouse's pd becomes current? or can it be done earlier?
Yes he can use Cross changeability.
It can be done when they file I 485 .

Hi,
my F-1 Visa expired about a month ago, and I am in my grace period while waiting for my OPT to come through. Yesterday I got the notification that I won the diversity lottery..
My question is as follows:
If I file to change status in the USA, but for some reason I do not get my OPT and get deported, do I lose my chances with the green card? or am I never out of status since I have a pending application? Please help!

I am planning to go for visa stamping soon. This will be by 7th year extension. I have the following questions. Thanks for reading my post and for replies.
1) Recently my title changed from "member of technical staff" to "senior member of technical staff" and I got a pay increase. But the job duties is the same. I don't think this needs H1 amendment. Does it ? I also hope that this will not affect the green card processing.
2) This may be a dumb question. I have the approved I-797 but the online status still shows as pending. Since I know at least one USCIS database is not updated, is there a reason to suspect PIMS delay when I go for stamping ? I am planing to go for stamping in Chennai, I assume there is no way to check beforehand. Did anyone else experience the same (online status not updated) and face any delays due to PIMS.

I will not suggest you to do anything in DR. They are not really very organized and it take time even to get a DR visa but that just my personal opinion. Consult your lawyer..
