I have been reading your suggestions about visiting DC and/or organizing flower campaign. They are good suggestions and I really liked the flower campaign when it was first done in 2007. But I think, repeating it and sending bunches of flowers to the offices of senators would not influence them as much.
Instead I think, if we can all send some donations to a charity which each of these senators is associated to, it would help the charities and might also influence the senators/congressman more. This will also serve as a reminder about the positive contributions of the immigrant community to this country.
I would welcome suggestions from other experienced members on how this can be implemented. But my initial thoughts are, we identify the senators/congressman(woman) we want to contact, select a local charity, or a charity to which these people are associated with, and send in checks of 5 or 10 dollars per person to each of these charities.
Even if each of us is willing to contribute $100, we might be able to reach 10-20 of these lawmakers. And there is nothing we are losing here even if the lawmaker turns a blind eye to our cause. The money will be used for charity and so it serves some purpose.
And along with the donations, we can request them to support the Visa Recapture Bill, which will help all of us.
And my EB2 friends, we need your help also, as you never know how these dates can change in the coming months. Nothing is done and over untill you get the physical card. Dont mean to dampen your spirits, but you and I know what the truth is.

Most of the June/July/Aug'07 fiasco filers H4's might have received EAD's and thus SSN#...so when 2007 filing tax returns (married filing jointly) will have their SSN# listed could be eligilble.. isn't it??

Can someone please respond to this ??
Myself (primary applicant) and my spouse are on h1 with EADs. If spouse starts a company(issue checks and do all admin work) and still maintain her h1 with old employer, will it invalidate her h1 just because she used EAD? Reason for asking is if some thing goes wrong with 485, can she fall back on h1?

Civil disobidience is a tool of the citizens..In my opinions we would get more negative publicity if we go around picketing..First of all all of us are above the average income of a standard working class American family. The majority of the american people are just going to laugh at this. The rest would be hostile. The illegals marched in the streets and that just increased the resolve of the anti-immigrants. LUD has little or no meaning. I have seen cases getting approval notice without ANY LUD. Don't stress out or hold your breath for it.

But checking my July 2007 I485 online status, it says it was last updated in Dec 2007..
Shouldn't we all have got recent LUDs or RFEs if all of us were recently pre-adjugated

Do I need to do anything to get it moving? How do I put a Service Request on 485? The online system to put an eRequest only lets you do it for N400 or I90.
It does not hurt to send a interfiling request letter from your attorney. You can raise a Service request (via phone) if it is outside of normal processing time (30 days past after being current).

What spillover for EB3 you are talking about? Based on how they interpreted the spillover law last year, EB3-I can't get any spillover until EB2-I and EB3-ROW is current and thats decade away.
I am just trying to get the facts. I am not against EB3-I as I myself is EB3-I and waiting for my turn since last 7 years.

I Agree with you, EB3 I will never ever be current unless there is a resolution or releaf passed by Mr Change (Obama) or his lobby, there is no light beyond this tunnel until we see some releaf which does not look getting this year atleast and may be another couple of years.
Predictions are good to just hear and watch and here predictions are like lovely dreams which will never come true unless untill any big chnage is taken place, and the only person who i have hope with to do something for EB3 I is President Obama.
But he is kind of busy with other important issues and our issue is not that important for him reason may be we are not his vote bank and will get to the curve of getting the GC when we are very close to our graves.
This is really furstating and freinds sorry to express my frustration here on this forum but i am done and just look at my PD Dec 2001 for the past 1 year i hear from my lawyer you are just the next badge and should be current in the next bulletin.
I think we should live everything aside and just do our best at work thats what i am doing and thank god for getting our bread and butter in this economy.

I assume yours is a conventional loan, how much equity do you have on your home, and how much down payment did you make on your home purchase first time?
I have a 30 Year fixed loan. I made more than 20% downpayment and since I bought my house only few months back not much change in equity yet.

Not that I say we need change, but this is a public organization. Everyone has a right to call for election. There is nothing wrong.
Only issue is, whoever wants to contest has to come out with public profile as mentioned by someone before. There are only few people who are openly public and with known real identity on this forum - thats sad!
